This tactic is a request by @CRIM3W4VE. The goal of this tactic is to have the 10 be the top player in the tactic. I interpreted this as making sure the 10 has the most goals and assists. Looking to ensure the player has 10+ Goals and 10+ Assists. The way this tactic sets up is to have lots of off-the-ball runners and supportive players around the 10 to help him pass and move or receive and shoot.
The shape is mainly a 4-2-3-1 but changes as it moves up the field. In buildout, the team sets up in a basic 4-2-3-1 shape. Once the CBs get the ball, they look to get it to 1 of our 3 ball progressors. The Segundo Volante and 2 Wingback's jobs are solely to bring the ball up the pitch before giving it to the 10 so he can do stuff.
Once the ball is in the opposition half the shape should change to be a 2-1-2-4-1. This then allows the 10 to have support on the left or right of him in the half spaces and out wide. He will also have options to pass forward and backward.
If the team loses the ball in this area all the players around the 10 are set to be super aggressive in their counter-pressing. Their goal is to win the ball back and then play it into the 10 who isn’t tasked with much defensive work to allow him to always be able to offer an outlet in possession. We also play with a high line and an aggressive CB who steps high and looks to cut out any space left by the Volante allowing him to win the ball higher up and then play a shorter pass back into the 10.
