VP9 Video Codec [beta]
The demo clip is in the WebM format. VP9 is not finished and still an experimental feature of vpxenc.

You have to set "--enable-vp9-playback" as parameter when starting google chrome from the command line.

VP9 is an open and royalty free video compression standard being developed by Google. VP9 had earlier development names of Next Gen Open Video (NGOV) and VP-Next. VP9 will be a successor to VP8.
