Is it possible to collect seeds from hybrids?

It is possible to collect seeds from hybrids, but to grow the same hybrid from them is a big question. Why?
This is due to the fact that the hybrid contains the genes of two parents, or, to put it another way, two varieties. A hybrid can differ significantly in its characteristics, since from one parent it could take, for example, the size of the fruit, the size of the flower, and the strength of growth, and from the other, the early maturity, color and shape, resistance to diseases.
In addition, a hybrid often exceeds both parents in some indicators or can have different characteristics as a result of the interaction of genes. When sowing seeds collected from a hybrid, a variety of characteristics can be observed. Some of the plants will have the characteristics of the parents, but only those that are controlled by one gene, did not arise as a result of heterosis or gene interaction, are dominant (suppressive or main, to put it another way). Some of the offspring will be similar to the parents. Some will have intermediate characteristics.
So it will not be possible to repeat the hybrid by sowing the seeds collected from it.
