2021 BMW M340i vs. 2021 Genesis G70 | Car Comparison | Driving.ca
When the Genesis G70 launched two years ago, it was pretty much the next best thing since sliced bread. It delivers the best of what sport sedans should offer — excellent performance, a comfortable ride, and a cushy interior — at a price point much lower than its established competitors.
That still applies today, although some of the initial shine has worn off. The G70 is still a fantastic sport sedan at an equally fantastic price: for $58,000, you get a twin-turbo V6 good for 365 horsepower, all-wheel-drive, some of the best driving dynamics in the business, and a solid interior. It’s also fully loaded — the only decision you have to make is the colour you want.
Trouble is in the two years that have passed, the competition has caught up. The previous-generation BMW 3 Series received its fair share of flak, but the latest M340i is, dare we say, really damn good again. But is it worth the massive price difference over the G70?
