If you want to add an Oberheim/UB-XA kind of flavor to the DeepMind 12, randomizing the VCA pan on each voice will help to give that wide and lush Oberheim/UB-XA sound. To do this, you'll have to use Voice Num as a modulation source and VCA Pan as modulation destination. Set the depth to anywhere between 100-127 (you can use less if you want to of course).

Make sure to use the 2-pole VCF for a more accurate sound. I have assigned the VCF Freq to the VCA ENV 1, so I don't have to use two envelopes.

Keep in mind this is not a full patch tutorial, I am just showing you how to achieve the Oberheim kind of voice panning on the DeepMind 12.
