all right now that episode two of The Last of Us is out let's talk about some Easter eggs you might have missed the opening subtitles are modeled after the same from The Game featuring the same font and color Ellie asks if they're super infected that will take off spores and they'll explode and this is actually a reference to bloaters big old nasty there's a hidden stuffed giraffe on the freeway and these actually showed up multiple times in the games and then also reference a big moment later on in the series that I won't spoil here the sound design of the creaky door to the State House is actually modeled after a clicker just take a listen
when Joel reaches into his backpack it's the same animation sequence that's from the video games and lastly the lighter that Tess uses is modeled after Sam Drakes from Uncharted 4. both of these properties were created by the same gaming studio Naughty Dog let me know if he caught anything else
