Installing and configuring external Solr for ArchivesSpace
This screencast walks those responsible for their institution's ArchivesSpace implementation through the process of installing and configuring external Solr for ArchivesSpace.
ArchivesSpace uses Solr for its search platform. Due to necessary upgrades that require moving to external deployment of Solr for the application, beginning with ArchivesSpace v3.2 deploying ArchivesSpace will require installing and configuring Solr. This change will not affect end users directly, but it will be a significant change for system administrators and others who deploy and manage ArchivesSpace.
