So today I've been listening to what I'm convinced is the very first audiophile gadget that you should get as a beginner audiophile. I'm not talking about these amazing headphones. We'll come to this later. I'm actually talking about this. This is the IFI audio Zen DAC brand new from iFi audio and It's a headphone amplifier and a DAC built into one.
It's amazing what it can do for this price point.So those of you who are starting off as beginner audiophile irrespective to what headphone or a earphone you have, you'll find that if you're going to plug it into your laptop or your smartphone, it's simply going to be inadequate and sometimes downright nasty, where it's simply not going to be able to bring out the best in your headphones.So for every repeat that you spend on your headphones, keep in mind that a good quality DAC and AMP is going to completely transform the way you listen to music.
It simply makes the base tighter, the sound becomes wider. Everything sounds crisp, clear and absolutely amazing in terms of soundstage. So the IFI Audio Zen DAC is probably the first device that you want to get start using with a good quality headphone or an IEM because it's going to bring out the best that it's going to be able to play.
