Icelandic Hotsprings - Haukadalur Geothermal Valley & Strokkkur Geyser
We visited the Haukadalur Geothermal Field, a major stop along Iceland’s Golden Circle and one of its most active geothermal areas. We witnessed the powerful burst of water from the famous Strokkur. Elsewhere, bubbling pools and mud pots churn with heat from beneath the earth, releasing steam into the cold wind. The landscape feels mystical and almost unearthly.
