Trains on the most beautiful Curve | Ranjangaon Road | Indian Railways |
Ranjangaon is undoubtedly one of the best uneven terrains in Indian Railways and the reason for this tight S-curve (Transition Curve) is also due to the uneven terrain and limited technology a century back when the line was constructed.Due to single line limitation the alignment has remained unaltered.There is also a Scissors Crossing loop siding at this station.
Enjoy watching the long freight and Express trains negotiating over this beautiful tight S-Curves like huge Serpents amidst the natures beauty .The permissible speed on this curve is limited to 65 KPH due too the sharp turns.
Ranjangaon Road is a small railway station in Ahmadnagar district, Maharashtra on the Daund - Manmad Single line Section. The line got recently energized and trains have very recently started running on Electric Locos. This video was shot just a week before the commissioning of Electric Locomotives on this line.
