Description:
The adobe after effects software can really consume a lot of space or rather ROM, so getting an external hard drive and allotting or setting it to adobe after effects alone, can be really helpful as your laptop or desktop will now perform faster and smoother when using the after effects software.
In this video, you will learn how to assign a specific drive to after effects and in the process of learning how to allocate the hard drive, you’ll also learn how to assign drive letters too.
Why is the allocation of a hard drive necessary?
Well, every pc (windows 7,8,10 etc) have the ability to naturally select any drive for a particular software.
Imagine a situation where you create animations with the after effects software and then you save your work on the “C-drive”, and then, the next day, you save your work and it gets saved on the “D-drive”.
Or another instance where you’re working with after effects and your PC decides to save your temp files in A-drive and saves another temp file in B-drive. This might result in a loss of progress when you haven’t allotted a drive to after-effects yet.
So assigning a specific drive to after effects to work with will really save a thorn of worries.
