ESP32P4 First Look: 7-inch HD LCD (1280x720) at 24-bit Color
Quick demo of my bring-up process for the Waveshare 7-inch High-Res Display on ESP32-P4.
Status:
Display: ✅ OK (1280x720)
Touch: ✅ OK
Note on Color Depth: I configured the P4 to output 24-bit color (RGB888) as I couldn't get 16-bit (RGB565) to work properly during this test. Official support for 16-bit on this panel is unconfirmed, but the 24-bit mode runs flawlessly despite the higher bandwidth requirement.
