Before starting to program AVR microcontrollers, the following tools will be needed. AVR Studio - integration of the development environment. In it, we will write and compile the program code. Proteus - a program for working with virtual microcontrollers and other electronic elements. It will help debug the code and operation of the device as a whole. AVRDUDE - used to flash the microcontroller program, written in AVR Studio. And finally we need the programmer. We will use the simplest and cheapest, but nevertheless quite reliable USBASP.
