No, images or photos are not Linked in InDesign that were pasted from Adobe Illustrator! They get embedded. This is dangerous, as the comment that started this video states:
“i had a large Illustrator file that needed to be recreated on InDesign..
i copied and pasted all the photos to the InDesign file..
now i can’t find any links and when i open the properties panel and click relink nothing happens..” (Original question on the embedded vs linked video)
