In this video tutorial, how to design automatic generation control of two area power system Using MATLAB/SIMULINK Software is discussed. For this purpose, I have considered an example from the Book Power System Analysis by Hadi Sadat, Chapter 12, Example 12.4.
I have discussed how to measure the frequency variations in per unit, hertz due to load variations in both power plants. Furthermore, I have discussed how to measure power shared in per unit, MW and by both the areas in case of sudden load change in any area.
In the end, I have discussed how this model can be used for Bachelor degree final year projects, or can be used for the fulfillment of one or two research objectives in Master and PhD degrees.
