PNG behaving like GIF on Mac in macOS Monterey when exporting PDF as images via the Preview app
I used Preview to convert all pages of a PDF into PNG images. I wanted separate individual images for each PDF page.
But the exported PNG images appear as a single file and behave like a GIF.
On pressing Command + I to view the file information, it shows it's a PNG file. But the image preview behaves like a GIF (all the pages play in a slideshow).
Plus, if you open this PNG in Preview and drag one of its images out onto the desktop, it is exported as a TIFF file!
I wonder why this happens.
