It's no secret that the years when Comic-Con was held at the El Cortez Hotel were unparalleled in the mingling of fans with all the top names in comics and science fiction: Siegel, Shuster, Kane, Beck, Barks, Eisner, Heinlein, Sturgeon, Bradbury, not to mention Frank Capra, Bob Clampett, Charles Schulz, and Chuck Norris — the list goes on and on.
