Watch this tutorial to learn how to use a button or content box as a trigger for events (e.g. hiding or showing website elements).

Trigger events in Greyd.Suite let you build interactive behaviour without coding. You can show, hide or fold elements, switch layouts, or reveal additional content based on user actions. Each triggerable element, such as a content box or template, gets its own defined event name plus a clear set of actions that should happen when the trigger fires. Single actions allow one-time reveals, while double actions alternate between hidden and visible states on repeated clicks.

Triggers are created directly in the element’s action settings. Once the event exists, any button or block with the trigger picker can reference it. The trigger picker lets you decide whether the action should fire on click or hover, and whether the event should apply page-wide, which is useful when the trigger sits inside a template while the affected element lives outside it.

Greyd.Suite extends the block editor with native event logic, unified styling, responsive controls and a consistent interaction model across all blocks. Everything runs on top of WordPress Core, so agencies and teams can build interactive experiences without stacking plugins. This reduces maintenance complexity and makes it easier to deliver scalable, interaction-rich websites that stay fast and stable over time.
