Minolta SRT 101b
The Minolta SR-T 101 isn’t the most flashy camera externally, but Minolta made sure to pack it full of features to make it an attractive sell. It’s arguably the first SLR to have evaluative metering in the form of the CLC meter, which consists of 2 photosensitive cells instead of the single cell found in most other cameras at the time. Minolta also managed to fit an instant return mirror, open aperture metering, and automatic aperture stop-down into a relatively compact body, which wasn’t the norm in the 1960s. That’s not even mentioning the early Minolta glass, which featured some of the best early multicoating technology. Pretty impressive, if you ask us!
