Fernando listens to Isabel in her hospital room. She suggests him to return to Salinas' residence and live on regular basis as much as possible. It is also important to inform Bernarda, that Isabel is in hospital. Manuela waits in medical office for dismissal documentation, which is brought by Rudy. Mariana and Gustavo discuss Gustavo's father, the way as Gustavo was brought up and this time, Gustavo sometimes tells truth to Mariana, but in certain points he lies as always. Fernando informs Bernarda, that Isabel returned with him, but now she is hospitalized because she suffers serious disease. Bernarda reacts very emotionally and wants to visit her. Fernando calms her down and she starts to cry. Rudy checks Manuela in her bedroom. She is sleeping at the time, so Rosario wants Rudy's attention. Fernando orders Lorenzo to take Bernarda in hospital, so she can be at service to Isabel. Isabel reminds to doctor Villa the deal, made between him and Bernarda. Doctor Villa tries to resist, that someday, Fernando will encounter, that he is sterile, but Isabel is convinced, that Villa will never tell. Their argue is interrupted by Bernarda, so doctor Villa leaves and Bernarda cries again. Doctor Villa orders nurse and his secretary to make telephone call to Fernando Salinas. Doctor doesn't answer nurse's additional questions. Bernarda is worried, that doctor Villa will sooner or later explain to Fernando or Teresa, that Fernando's sterility is false diagnose. Isabel is calm, because she feels, that doctor Villa is coward. Rosario wants to tell Manuela, that Emilio was looking for her. Rudy becomes rude and orders Rosario to shut the mouth up. Rosario doesn't understand, why Rudy sleeps with her, but his heart is devoted to Manuela. Rudy doesn't care about Rosario, he wants the best for Manuela. Rosario is fully confronted with Rudy's lack of interest for her. Fernando received telephone call from nurse and secretary of doctor Villa. He doesn't understand, why doctor Villa wants to speak with him in private. Fernando leaves the residence.
