Yes, the electronics are isolated.
Yes, your PC is protected.
But the designers forgot one tiny detail…
👉 The entire metal case is bonded to the floating analog ground.
👉 So when you clip the ground lead to mains-side SMPS rails, the whole enclosure floats at up to 340V!
👉 The scope survives… but you might not.
