AutoCAD FILEDIA fix — when SAVEAS not working or the save dialog doesn’t appear.
If your AutoCAD save dialog is missing (AutoCAD save dialog missing), set FILEDIA to 1.
✅ Symptoms: Typed SAVEAS but no window pops up; insert block or other file dialogs also not showing.
🛠️ Fix: Type FILEDIA → Enter → set value to 1 → Enter. Now run SAVEAS again and the dialog opens.
📌 Why it happens: FILEDIA=0 forces command-line mode, disabling all file selection dialogs.
💡 Tip: Remember this for other commands too — INSERT, OPEN, EXPORT, etc., all need FILEDIA on.
📥 Bonus: If you prefer command-line only, temporarily set FILEDIA=0, then restore to 1 for normal use.
