Following the annulment of the marriage of former Mexican President Vicente Fox and Martha Sagunto, this issue has been brought to the forefront: can the Church annul or dissolve marriages? What light can be shed on this? This program will discuss marriage annulment processes, libel trials, and the ecclesiastical tribunals that, based on the Code of Canon Law, analyze such cases to determine whether or not a sacrament was performed. The situation in the Gaza Strip will also be addressed, including Israel's bombing of Gaza and Hamas's bombing of cities in southern Israel. Pope Benedict XVI will also be featured, speaking with ambassadors from around the world accredited to the Holy See and outlining the desperate situation in the Gaza Strip, where the death toll has surpassed one thousand and the bombing continues.
