What are parts of speech?
Every word belongs to at least one part of speech. In German, there are 10 different parts of speech. These include variable (inflected) and invariable (uninflected) parts of speech. Variable means that you can decline or conjugate a word. Our first parts of speech table shows you which parts of speech are variable and which are invariable.
