Georgism is a political and economic theory based on the theory of social justice propounded by the 19th century American economist Henry George. Georgism is a radical political and economic proposal that would replace all forms of taxation with a single tax on land value.
Land Value Tax is the most common form of land taxation and is also the most radical proposal of Georgism. In theory, a Land Value Tax would be a tax on the entire value of land, including the value of improvements and natural resources. Proponents of Land Value Tax argue that this type of tax would be more fair and efficient than any other form of taxation.
