My "Shiny Happy People" Reaction
I'm a linear thinker, meaning I need to process everything in a way that makes sense and lines up in an understandable way.
So when I was processing through the documentary "Shiny Happy People" I found that there were two lines running alongside one another. The first was the facts of the story. Facts that involved the Duggars, Bill Gothard, and Josh Duggar. The secondary line was somewhat adjacent assumptions to the facts being told in the story. Assumptions about large families, homeschoolers, scriptural authority, and Christians in politics.
In this video, I try to walk through how I processed the document and what it seems to be communicating.
