The Yugitube Awards 2013
I want to first like to state for the record that I don't think Mkohl40 or Underworld6667 are bad tubers. They both have amazing ideas that push yugitubing in the right direction. I would also like to state for the record that I don't think either of them host the awards correctly. Don't get me wrong, the last 3 years have been entertaining in my opinion, but there's always a twist.
To make the show every year great, one element from the past three years must be used.
Three years ago Dan made one that had star power. It only lacked luster because of its length, time it took to upload, dragon duelist girl's speech, and the fact that he hand picked all of the winners except one. (I was not mad about the last one because he said that's what he was doing from the start.) Thing I would keep/change: Keep the star powered interviews; cut amanda's speech and play the "get off the stage music".
Two years ago Mkohl40 hosted and well, it just felt a bit rushed. As far as I know the votes were done fairly, but it lacked the entertainment, the Ad plugs, and shoutouts. Things I would change/keep... Change the seriousness of the event and add some laughs and interviews; I would keep the time it took to upload and assuming it was on the level, the way the votes were handled.
Finally, this year was the worst by far. Looking past the fact that it had star power, a great how to segment by underworld6667, and was edited very well in such a short time, It took away the voice of the people. It was up so quickly, that it also made me wonder if the winners were even legit. I mean if people don't get to vote, then the video is just a Patfacetheblackwing video that's done better.
the change and keep are quite obvious.
I will not host or create an award show for 2013 because that year is behind me. But you bet you bottom dollar 2014 there will be only one show to watch and any/everyone can win.
