Friends, in this video, I'll demonstrate the basics of weaving a round basket using a small project. Using these principles, you can easily weave a basket of any size! ☝
I experimented with the basket handle! I added fishing line to the tubes for the wrapping and clasp. It turned out very textured 😍😍😍
I don't know if I'd risk bothering so much with the fishing line wrapped around a large basket (honestly, this process is quite labor-intensive. I'm talking about building up the tubes with fishing line. It has to be perfect! No empty spaces), but for small projects, I think these handles are the best option! In any case, I recommend giving it a try! ☝🤗

A little technical information 👇👇👇
✔️ When weaving the basket, I used 12 cm strip tubes per knitting needle. 1.5 mm. I braided the handle with tubes made from a 9 cm strip on a 1.2 mm knitting needle.
✔️ 1 mm fishing line
✔️ 1.2 mm wire in tubes for the handle
✔️ The handle base is made of three tubes (12 cm × 1.5 mm) with wire wrapped in raffia. I inserted the base into the weave using Titan. The handle doesn't bear any load in a basket of this size, so I think it's unnecessary to extend the tubes from the bottom.
✔️ The basket shape is a three-liter jar (you can use any other shape)
✔️ The tubes are painted with VM paint (oak, maple, mocha)
✔️ The diameter of the resulting basket is 15 cm. The height is 12.5 cm x 22 cm.
