Extreme #69 (nice)
This levels pretty damn bad, it is balanced by an idiot and feels almost unplaytested. There's random chokepoints and inconsistencies scattered throughput the entire level, and was just genuinely a chore to play. The fact the level basically starts at 32 doesnt help either, I wouldn't recommend unless you're doing an EDA.
Breakdown of Parts:
0-9: Super free beginning with no real hard inputs, luckily the songs decent or else this would suck bad.
9-16: Completely carried by the one ball click at 10%, basically the only place you can die to here.
16-24: Icl i like this part, the high click speed helps it to not feel monotonous and is very satisfying robot gameplay which is rare.
24-32: This parts also pretty cool, but is much more flawed than the previous part. Its super easy to clip the edge of the block on the first orb which is frustrating, the saws also have much bigger hitboxes than they seem. More good robot gameplay after.
32-42: This part is awful, I'm sorry. The ball isn't too bad but is the first sort of hard part. The spider however is another story. The blocks contain slopes as decoration, but the hitboxes are still on, which means you have so much less
leeway on each click as you can easily clip a slope in a block. Awful playtesting here.
42-53: This cube also sucks, the click pattern is up there with the most awkward I've ever played, especially in an easy extreme. Its super easy to hold too long and generally plays like shit. Orb priority doesnt help here either as its way too easy to hit that one red orb.
53-65: This parts actually really fun, the clicks all feel intense and it's really easy so you rarely die here.
65-75: The worst and hardest part of the level by a mile, the 67 wave is pretty good except for the fact i kept getting lag spikes here for some reason, but that's the last good i can say about this part. The ball timings are really hard and super awkwardly spaced out, and 2.2 orb priority means that hitting the pink orb is super luck based. This part just sucks a lot
75-86: This dual is cool, took a while to get good at but once i was it was super consistent. The ship is also very satisfying. Good part.
86-100: How do you fuck up an ending this badly, the jumps between the 2 spikes both suck, and then the spider consistency is really chokeable at the end. The endings fine until the last straightfly, which almost deserves its own paragraph on how absolutely dogshit it is. Screen fading to dark and a tighter than 1 block gap isn't how you end the level.
Overall this level has some good parts, but the lows are super low unfortunately. Wish i could've enjoyed this.
