The Maryland National Guard's 32nd Civil Support Team began the first major part of exercise Caribbean Thunder, a multi CST exercise including the Puerto Rican and Ohio CSTs, Jan. 26 at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. The mission was to respond to a suspected weapons of mass destruction agent released at a convention center in Puerto Rico, locate the source and identify the agent. The exercise gave each CST the opportunity to deploy to a location, collaborate with other CST's, perform their mission and redeploy to home station.
