HOW TO CHANGE HAIR COLOUR IN ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
Hello everyone!
Today we're learning how to change hair colour in Adobe Photoshop.
1. SELECT THE OBJECT
Select "Quick Selection Tool" (W) in the Toolbar, and select the entire object -- hair.
2.CREATE A NEW LAYER AND APPLY MASK TO IT.
In the Layers panel, click the "Create A New Layer" button to create a new layer. While staying on the new layer, click the "Add A Mask" button in the Layers panel to create a mask in the shape of the selected object. Adding a mask will allow you to work only on the selected object - hair (STEP 1)
3. FILL IN THE COLOUR AND ADJUST ITS HUE/SATURATION
Select the "Paint Bucket Tool" and fill in the desired colour. The object now appears to be filled with that solid colour. The mask on the layer limits the solid colour to the object only.
Change the layer mode from "normal" to "soft light".
With the colour-filled layer still selected, click "HUE/SATURATION" button in your adjustment window. Then, clip two layers together to affect the layer below (Colour filled layer + Saturation/HUE). To do so, click on the bottom left button of the Saturation/HUE window.
Adjust sliders of HUE, Saturation and Brightness to your desire.
4. FINALIZING
As soon as you selected the colour, return back to the mask, by clicking on it. With the "Brush Tool" (B), start adjusting the contour of the hair.
Black cube - removes the colour, White cube - adds the colour. In order to switch between them, press "X" on your keyboard.
