AMAZING Old Fashioned Apple Crisp Recipe
Apple Crisp with OATMEAL
Of all the apple recipes out there this is a Fall dessert that will get your mouth watering! This homemade apple crisp recipe is SO easy to make, and will give your home a nice Autumn smell. The apple crisp topping may take the most time to prep for this incredible dessert, but it will be well worth it. Technically this is an apple crumble but you can also think of it as an apple crisp with oatmeal. After watching give your opinion on the apple crisp v apple crumble debate in the comments below.
Ingredients:
8 apples cored, peeled, and sliced
Juice from 1 lemon
2 sticks unsalted butter (in total)
1 cup brown sugar (in total)
1 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (in total)
1 cup flour
1 cup rolled oats
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Butter a large rimmed baking pan.
Mix together apples, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 stick of melted butter, and lemon juice together then spread out onto the pan.
Cut 1 1/2 sticks of butter into 1/2 inch pieces.
In another bowl combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Combine this mixture with the butter by hand making sure the butter leaves no clumps behind.
Top your apples with the apple crisp mixture.
Bake for 1 hour at 375℉
Serve hot (and topped with ice cream).
