Review of the @SenseiSeth video on pankration. The reason I go into so much detail and breakdown almost every line, is because pankration’s biggest obstacle is the sheer amount of misinformation that circulates about it, everywhere. It is a lesser-known subject, and even academia is riddled with mistakes, mistranslations, and misinterpretations of the sport. This leads to a bad public image, which in turn does not allow it to be recognized by governing bodies like UNESCO and even blocks it from returning to its rightful place in the Olympics.
