in this video, I will go over AMD again and I will focus on the aftermath of the earnings. AMD has a reputation that earnings trigger a sell-off. Why is this the case? It has to do with the valuation of the company and the guidance. There is a disconnect that investors just cannot bridge when it comes to AMD. This company is involved in a lot of a.i. segments and is partnering to expand their influence worldwide. However, investors then expect an answer how to everything ties together and makes AMD, and therefore the shareprice, more valuable.
Right now, AMD is creating more unknowns. More questions than answers. By expanding and partnering up. Investors therefore punish the stock by selling it.
I will also briefly explain the metric EPS (earnings per share), shareprice and PE ratio and why this is so important when it comes to AMD. All investors should have some knowledge of this metric, as it helps you to be more cautious about companies that are growing like crazy but eventually that grow could stall and the shareprice collapses. This happens to AMD but investors do tend to come back and give the stock another chance.
I will also go over the competitors of AMD and what to watch for before you buy or sell AMD. I will briefly discuss option strategies, but also the warnings of buying options in a high volatility environment.
