MapleStory (Reboot) - 18.9k stat Adele Lotus Solo
SCUFFED LOTUS GUIDE IN DESCRIPTION!
Sorry for not showing equips and nodes. I was in a rush because this was my last practice run of the day (my previous runs were pretty messy lol).
This took place during RISE, so the 4th V skill isn't out yet.
P1:
I got REALLY lucky with P1. The laser didn't speed up or change direction. There are times when you get really bad Lotus RNG, and the laser starts speeding up a few seconds after you spawn in. At the beginning, I try to get 3 stacks of Resonance Rush as soon as possible. You can safely get stacks by using the Resonance Rush + Impale combo below Lotus when the laser is in a good spot. There's also the option of getting all 3 stacks before you enter. Just stack it up in the Scrapyard map to the left before entering. The buff lasts for 30s, so you have more than enough time. As for dodging the lasers, Adele can use Feather Float to teleport backwards. This skill does have a 6s cooldown, so you won't be able to solely rely on this when the laser speeds up. I usually use my full burst in P1 because I want to phase Lotus as soon as possible. Personally, I think it's the easiest to die during this phase.
P2:
Again, I got really lucky in this phase. I felt like I was given more time than usual to get on top of a platform before the laser spawned. As always, make sure you have Grave Proclamation marked on the boss and also have 3 stacks of Resonance Rush at all times. I like to stand closer to the sides rather than the middle. There's a chance Lotus can shove you across the map into a bunch of debris if you stand in the middle. If you're standing right at the edge of the screen, he can't really shove you anywhere. Adele also has ridiculous horizontal range on Cleave. I can actually attack Lotus outside of his shove range, which is pretty nuts considering this is supposed to be a melee character. Using plummet to reposition yourself back on the ground when you get beamed up is also really helpful. Lotus likes to shove you off platforms, so keep your eyes on Lotus and watch for the animation. Adele can also float in the air for a short period of time using High Rise. I didn't use it in this run because I don't have it. My Adele is currently 239, and I still haven't finished the story quests yet lol. I don't have High Rise, and I don't have Recalling Greatness. Also, make sure to use Hunting Decree more often. I keep forgetting to use it every once in a while, and my gauge is just sitting there with full Aether.
P3:
I like to stand in the middle when Lotus is shooting his purple orbs. Standing in the middle gives me 3 directions to dodge in. When I just started learning how this boss works, I always stood at the sides to dodge because for some reason, I felt safer there lol. However, it's actually harder to dodge there. Also, don't walk/jump around too much. Just wait until you see where the purple orb will land before moving. There are some situations where standing on the sides is better. For example, stand on the side to dodge when there's a bunch of debris falling in the middle. A good thing to keep in mind is to not respawn immediately after dying. Make sure the fight is safe to respawn in first, especially if you don't have Resistance link.
