👉In this episode of “Bihar For Beginners,” we travelled to Muzaffarpur, the heart of North Bihar, a place full of potential, talent, and untold stories.
We begin with Chandan Raj, the founder of Suresh Chips, a visionary entrepreneur who returned from Shanghai, Tel Aviv, and Bangalore to build something in his hometown. His journey from global labs to local struggles captures the reality of every Bihari who dares to dream here. Despite facing corruption, extortion, and red-tapism, he didn’t lose faith. His tweet about local corruption even prompted the District Magistrate to take action, proving that speaking up can initiate change.
From there, we head to Langat Singh College, where students share their views on education, politics, and hope. Some are frustrated with delays in getting their final-year marksheets, others are concerned about female education, safety, and the lack of opportunities. We also meet ABVP students celebrating their DU win and others stating the condition of Bihar’s education.
A female student shares the reality of gender inequality and how societal judgment still overshadows women’s education. Later, a professor recalls the terrifying era of Chamki Bukhar (Acute Encephalitis Syndrome) that once haunted Muzaffarpur, explaining how science, awareness, and administration together eradicated it.
This episode connects Bihar’s entrepreneurial struggle, education crisis, gender gap, and public health challenges, showing how resilience and reform are two sides of the same story.
