Salicylic acid is my favorite ingredient for keeping pores clear of dead skin cells and excess sebum that cause whiteheads (and acne.)
Benzoyl peroxide targets bacteria which causes inflammation in clogged pores and fills them with white blood cells that make for the satisfying soft pop. It also helps the pimple to heal faster once it’s been popped so no new bacteria gets introduced into the pore.
If you are prone to picking at your pimples, pimple patches are a great way to let your pimple heal faster with no interruption.
