FDA approves elon musk’s neuralink chips on human trials
This smart mother flower just got the approval to insert chips in human brains. I used to be his critic but I don’t know now, things are getting weird.
This week the fad approved trials for implanting musk’s computer chips into human skulls.
if it works, musk said it could allow people to directly connect computers to their brains. potentially treat brain disorders even create an even playing ground with AI.
but how does it work?
a surgical robot will remove a piece of your skull and replace it with the chip which is about the size of a coin.
Then wires are inserted from the chip to parts of your brain detecting nerve activity.
If it works, most of the chip can relay information via Bluetooth to a smartphone, laptop, or any device that can detect it.
NeuraLink has already done tests on animals, including several monkeys that were demoed, playing pong and other basic video games via the implant.
But the company has already been subject to several probes, including a federal investigation for potentially violating the Animal Welfare Act.
In December, 2022 employees accused the company of needless deaths and mistreatment of animals in its trials. Records obtained by Reuters show that the company had killed about 1500 animals, sheep, pigs, and monkeys since 2018. the company has faced various investigations for weird experiments and animal cruelty but company nor Musk has responded to these allegations.
