The developers of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Yuga Labs, are embroiled in yet another scandal. This time, Yuga is being accused of intellectual property theft for allegedly trademarking the Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) wolf skull design. According to reports, the logo was first introduced in April 2021, by Easy Drawing Tutorial, a company that specializes in drawing tutorials for kids.

In this video we'll discuss how the wolf skull is featured on the logo for BAYC's Bored Ape Kennel Club collection, which debuted on June 17, 2021. Yuga Labs submitted an application to trademark the logo on November 15, 2021. The logo, however, looks similar to Easy Drawing Tutorial's wolf skull illustration. A picture of the sketch was tweeted out by Easy Drawing three months before Yuga Labs debuted BAKC. Yuga claims this was done inadvertently.
