DOOM NES Music
The Doom music converted to play on a NES, for my DOOM NES project (coming soon). Running in Famitracker, but it sounds just the same on a real NES too!

Workflow to convert goes like this -
Load MIDI file in Ableton
Line notes up with the grid using track "Orig. BPM" function
Quantize everything
Arrange down to 5 tracks (use your creativity!)
Export tracks as individual MIDI files (Ableton doesn't support Type1 MIDI... grumble...)
Merge individual files to one multi-track file using MidiEditor
Import into FamiTracker 0.4.2 (latest versions remove MIDI support)
Save module and load in latest FamiTracker
Set up instruments
Clean everything up (Add note OFFs, pitch bend, velocity, etc etc)
