Go is fun, productive, and rapidly gaining popularity. Join us!

This talk includes a very brief introduction and history of the Go programming language, but the talk focuses on what makes Go unique and why you should consider using this relatively new, open source programming language for your next project. If you've written code in any popular language you will have no problem following our discussion and picking up and benefitting from Go.

This talk will cover how to write idiomatic Go code; we'll discuss how to use Go interfaces and how to effectively utilize Go's great concurrency capabilities. We'll also cover writing web servers in Go, life without exceptions and inheritance, why I think Go is probably more production that what you're using now, why Go isn't perfect, and more.
