How it works (the math) The formula: It's not 1% * 365 days (which would be 365% improvement), but rather a daily multiplication: \((1+0.01)^{365}\).The result: \(1.01^{365}\approx 37.78\), meaning you become nearly 38 times better.The reverse: Getting 1% worse daily (0.99^365) leaves you with almost nothing, illustrating the same compounding effect in reverse.
