Genshin Impact and the problem with Gacha games
Genshin Impact as the premiere gacha game in the west, has had a very healthy player base since launch. The loot box style mechanics obviously incentivize people to spend money, but most players didn't have a problem with it. That is until their recent release of Raiden Shogun. Now they have Chinese players threatening to sue the company due to misleading advertising.
