Ropunawa’s latest class is a structural-but-fun challenge for both rigger and model alike. With hands tied in a ‘prayer’ position behind the back, the Reverse Prayer Tie is a visually striking harness that relies as much on the shoulder flexibility of the person being tied as it relies on the skill of the person doing the tying. An essential check to do before beginning is to see if the model’s hands comfortably fit into the space between their shoulder – with that confirmed, you can go ahead and get started with this rewarding tie.
This tie is suitable for all students from intermediate level up, however, it is not suitable for every model. Only attempt to do it if their flexibility allows for it.
