Resting with a tent - thrill or horror? The first day of traveling with children in Montenegro.
We leave in our car from the hot coast of Montenegro - we go on a little trip.
This time we are going with a tent. The fact is that we constantly find ourselves in some wilderness where it is impossible to find housing for rent. The salon in the car allows two people to be accommodated for an emergency overnight, but not four. There is only one way out - to put the tent in the trunk just in case. We bought a tent for only 30 euros (for about 2500 rubles) - the simplest option for the summer, the size of a berth is two by 2 meters.
A ferry ride across the Bay of Kotor is always a separate adventure. And here is the narrowest point of the Bay of Kotor. From above you can see the lighthouse well. The views of the bay are amazing!
But it's time to move inland.
We are driving towards the border with Bosnia. For lunch we stopped at an unknown village under a luxurious linden tree humming with hundreds of bees. Linden blossom was once collected and in Suzdal - prepared for the winter - the tea turns out viscous viscous, like good German beer. But here the flowers are much larger, and the aroma is already intoxicating with the sweetness of the hot sun.
Further, our route runs past the village of Grahovo, where, according to rumors, a Russian family lives and runs a farm. Well, how not to stop by?
Vitaly Tyushevsky's farm and livestock were impressive. Our meeting was not planned, but the owners greeted them cordially, showed and told everything, and the children fed the goats, piglets, cuddled the kittens.
The Tyushevskies started all this economy, having moved to Montenegro 7 years ago from the Orenburg region. I had to study the local features of farming from scratch.
We tasted cheeses made by Julia and Vitaly. Excellent! Having bought a little sausages and cheeses, thanking the hospitable hosts, we went to the nearest lake, which the farmers advised us to visit.
On the lake in Grahovo, you can stop with a tent to walk and swim in plenty. But we have a lot of plans. We want to see the Roman bridges in Niksic, and on the way to look at the lakes near the city!
While we examined the Roman bridges, it was already evening. It's getting dark, it's time to set up camp! The places are unfamiliar, so we look on the map, where is the forest around, where are swamps - so as not
brush off mosquitoes all night, relief ...
At night, finding a level, clean, dry tent site is more difficult. It was decided: we will spend the night by a beautiful lake near the town of Niksic. Silence. Only firewood crackles in the fire.
So, our conclusions are whether a family needs a tent, and what needs to be considered. It all depends on the level of comfort you are willing to put up with. The main question is where to wash, if you do not rent a house or a hotel, but choose to spend the night in a tent. We were lucky, throughout our route, which went beyond the scope of this film, we met lakes, mountain rivers, springs. And we swam 10 times a day in wild places. Yes, refreshing water, but pure, no chlorine.
The second important point: you need to equip a tent for spending the night in the mountains more carefully than if you travel in the foothills - rugs with a surface reflecting cold from the ground, good sleeping bags are required! Because the temperature even in summer in our practice was once about 4 degrees, - winter, count.
To be honest, I didn’t even think it was so great to travel with a tent. As a child, I remember that I perceived such an experience with less enthusiasm.
