How to Connect Trello to Excel Calculations Using SpreadsheetWeb and Zapier
If your team manages quotes, leads, or customer requests in Trello and you have complex pricing or calculation logic built in Excel, this tutorial shows you how to connect the two automatically, without opening a spreadsheet or writing any code.
The setup works like this. When someone creates a new card in Trello and fills in the customer details, Zapier picks that up, sends the inputs to SpreadsheetWeb, runs the Excel calculation on the server, and writes the result straight back to the Trello card. The sales team works entirely in Trello. The calculation engine stays in Excel. Everything else is automated.
We use a Term Life Insurance Quoting Tool as our example throughout — a realistic multi-input pricing spreadsheet with a calculated premium output. The same approach works for any Excel-based pricing model, financial calculator, or business tool with inputs and outputs.

By the end of this tutorial you will have a fully automated quoting workflow where every new Trello card triggers an Excel calculation and receives the result, without anyone touching a spreadsheet.
