It has been 12 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake (Tohoku Pacific Ocean Earthquake).
At the time, a massive tsunami struck the Pacific coast, washing away homes and causing fiery floodwaters to take the lives of 20,000 people. It is said to be the worst natural disaster since the war.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives in the disaster.
This video simulates the broadcast screen from that time and provides commentary on the flow of information released by the Japan Meteorological Agency. As a lot of information is displayed on the screen at once, we recommend pausing the video if necessary.
