#77 A Passion for Aging with Elke Heidenreich | Podcast »Women's Voices« with Ildikó von Kürthy
Today I'm speaking with Elke Heidenreich. She is, I think I can say, an icon. A television star, author, literary critic, radio play writer, and—I think I can say this too—an old woman. And that's what our conversation is about. About age and growing old. About letting go and what we'll take with us to the grave. Elke is 81, and every now and then she says things like, "Believe me, old aunt." And I believe her when she says that her curiosity keeps her alive, that her enthusiasm and capacity for outrage make her a contented and discontented, energetic old woman. It's a joy to listen to her because she makes you look forward to old age and conveys optimism. Elke is having the best time of her life right now. I wish you a wonderful time and much enjoyment as you grow older.
