TOP TOOLS I Use to Make SKETCHBOOK VIDEOS
🤳🏼NEEWER OVERHEAD CAMERA MOUNT: I use this to film top-down videos as my biggest struggle as an artist was always filming myself without my head getting in the way or filming the proper angle. I can basically mount my camera as well as some lighting panels onto this so that anything I film on my desk has a studio setup. Heights and distances are adjustable!
📷 PHOTOGRAPHY BACKDROPS: I use any photography backdrops that you can easily find online in your preferred style as the background for my sketchbook videos. I personally prefer block colors, because my sketchbook itself is already the main focus, but choosing a backdrop to help elevate your video, can make it set apart from a standard desk background.
✏️ UTRECHT COLORED PENCILS: while these colored pencils, no longer exist, the Blick colored pencils are the closest bet. However, I feel like these colored pencils are great for anyone who wants to start creating art and NOT be spending a lot of money, while also not relying on the cheapest options. At the end of the day, I think these colored pencils are just good, but I am sure there are more phenomenal options out there.
🎨 SAKURA KOI WATERCOLOR SET: I love using these watercolors, because they are transportable, and also have tons of color options. I actually have been using these since I was in high school, and they are great to bring with you without making a mess. I highly recommend using these with the watercolor brush pen.
🖊️ SAKURA MICRON PIGMA PENS: I truly believe these are the standard for anyone who wants to get into ink work, and don’t know where to start. This sakura micron pigma pens come in a variety of different sizes, which allows you to play a lot with line weight. This definitely makes your art stand out a lot more compared to using a regular ballpoint pen. If you are into illustration or comic making, these are some of the best pens to use.
