Cisco Switch Password Recovery Without Losing the Configuration
In this video you will learn how to recover the password for a Cisco switch. It is not really limited to a specific switch, rather it applies to almost all Cisco switches available in the market. The exceptions are Cisco Nexus and Meraki MS series.
In this example, a 2960G has been tested. Aside from that a console cable and a terminal emulator is also required. On windows you can use putty and in Mac OS X the native terminal would be enough.
Using this method you will not lose the existing configuration of the device.
